Company chair Joan Link Armour has been involved in the media since 1953 when she joined The Tennessean as a reporter. She worked part-time for several advertising agencies and was a freelance editor and writer before forming Armour&Armour in 1983.
Joan has served on numerous non-profit boards and is currently a member of the Metro Historical Commission. She is a past president of Public Relations Society of America Nashville chapter, and is a two-time winner of its Hercules Award for outstanding contributions to the field. She received the 2007 Excel Award from International Association of Business Communicators, Nashville.
President and creative director Christopher Armour is an award-winning graphic designer. President of Armour&Armour, he joined the company full-time in 1987. Prior to that, he worked for The Tennessean.
Chris is active on the Metro Beautification and Environment Commission and Metro Tree Advisory Committee, having served as chair of both. He's the author of The Wisdom of Fishing, Five Centuries of Golf Wisdom, and 40 Daily Devotions. He co-wrote My 33 Years in the House of Cash with Peggy Knight.
Business Development Director Jan Stinson joined A&A in 1988 after working for 10 years in The Tennessean’s marketing department as a copywriter, editor, and projects manager.
Jan serves on the boards of National Association of Women Business Owners. Nashville chapter, and CABLE, and sits on the ATHENA PowerLink governing body. She has a B.S. in communications from the University of Tennessee-Knoxville.
Graphic Designer Meredith Green has a strong background in advertising design. She made the transition form the board to the computer in the mid-1980s, giving her the opportunity to teach computer graphics at Nashville State Community College, Watkins College of Art&Design, and Nossi College of Art.
She recently returned to school at Austin Peay State University and earned her BFA with an emphasis in studio art.
