Seminar site
National Conference of Editorial Writers hosts an annual workshop to attract minority journalists to opinion writing. The Minority Writers Seminar needed a way to tell its story, take applications, and provide materials to participants.
The MWS site features complete seminar information, testimonials and success stories from previous participants, and reports from the latest workshop.
A password-restricted section allows participants to download their seminar information packets and give feedback. The seminar realized significant savings by providing all materials electronically.
“Wow. What a quick turnaround. Very nice job,” said NCEW officer Tom Waseleski.
FRIENDS’ forest
Friends of Warner Parks turned to Armour&Armour for help in telling its story about saving an old-growth forest within the city of Nashville. The group needed to raise over $5 million, and it didn’t have much time.
Friends had an existing website that promoted its support for the Warner Parks, but it looked outdated. The Friends site needed a facelift, and “Save Our Ancient Forest” needed a “sub-site” of its own pages.
For the old site, A&A identified ways to improve its functionality, tighten its organization, and make it easier to use, as well as giving it a new look. For the fundraising campaign, we evaluated the information Friends needed to distribute and determined the best way to tell the story.
The group had a short timeline on its fundraising efforts and needed a quick turnaround. A&A had the new site up in just a couple of weeks.
The new website is getting rave reviews, and Friends is nearing its fundraising goal.
